A day in the life of a sports beat writer probably does not sound overwhelmingly exciting. Although, a weekend road trip to Nashville, the Music City, to cover Ohio basketball packs enough action to warrant a video blog. Check out Speakeasy Sports’ writers Alex Hider and Chris Longo as they make their first trip to “Smashville.” The boys failed to buy any cowboy boots, despite the abundance of shops with available cowboy swag. After a tough Ohio loss, a couple of late nights amongst the southerners and a long trip back to Athens, the boys find out that life as a cowboy does not come cheap.
